Culture
A colorful past. A vibrant present.

Since the 1500s when the town was a base for pirates preying on Spanish galleons loaded with gold, Cabo San Lucas has had a colorful history. Today, Cabo continues to lure people with a host of art and musical events in addition to traditional festivals.

Cabo's Carnaval is a joyous celebration of feasting, drinking, music and dancing in the streets before the sober fasting period of the Catholic Lent.

Beginning the weekend before Lent- Festival of St James ~A Roman Catholic Festival, celebrating St. James the Apostle and featuring white horses with costumed riders, along with various reenactments around the town square in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas.

September 15 – 16 Día de San Lucas ~Street parades, open-air concerts, food stalls and street vendors gather to celebrate in honor of the city's patron saint.

October 18 The Rhythm, Color, and Flavors Festival ~A celebration of the culinary diversity of Cabo San Lucas.

First week in December -Cabo Jazz Escape~Mainstream, Latin and international jazz artists play concerts throughout town and at Sunset Beach.

Shopping

For those who consider shopping the ultimate form of recreation, Cabo San Lucas promises not to disappoint. Cartier, Hermes, Montblanc, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Carolina Herrera, Tiffany & Co., and Coach are some of your close neighbors at Luxury Avenue Mall just minutes from your Penthouse. A few steps beyond, the sparkling Puerto Paraiso is home to Hugo Boss, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Bahama, and Tropico, the popular homegrown brand, as well as restaurants and theaters.

For a taste of local color, be sure to browse the smaller markets and backstreets where you'll find artisans practicing their crafts. You can easily find original woodcarvings, bright tapestries, fine jewelry, and hand-blown glass. The Sergio Bustamante Gallery features local and Mexican artists that celebrate the romance of Baja Mexico.

Nightlife

With Cabo Luxury Penthouse's perfectly central location, a night out typically begins with the decision on whether to head toward downtown and the Marina, or to venture toward Medano Beach. Either way, you'll find that the very best of Cabo San Lucas thrives just beyond your doorstep.

On the beach.

What could be more carefree than strolling out your front door, onto the sand, and down the beach a couple of hundred yards to enjoy your choice of venues? Located in the heart of Medano Beach, The Office is popular at all times and serves up a particularly juicy Black Angus steak and grilled Todos Santos lobster. The Baja Brewing Company features locally brewed beers in a stunning rooftop setting.

Dancing until dawn.

In the other direction, walk along the Marina boardwalk and begin your happy hour at the Nowhere Bar. As the night progresses you'll hear music filtering out onto the streets: now the fun really begins. If you want to go dancing, but not necessarily on tabletops, Mandala is an elegant nightclub and lounge with a VIP section. Rock out with the famous, maybe-one-day-famous, and local rockers who will never be famous at Cabo Wabo Cantina. Or if you're really feeling adventurous, brave the scene at the Giggling Marlin or El Squid Roe.

And when your evening is over, you'll be glad to know that home is just a short walk away.

Activities

How many interesting experiences can one place deliver? At Marina Sol Premier Properties , it's quite a few - the beach, poolside, the Spa, the Marina, the town and within walking distance to shuttles for attractions beyond downtown Cabo San Lucas. From riding ATVs out in the desert, to parasailing above the Sea of Cortez, to snorkeling at Land's End, there's something for everyone and every age in Cabo San Lucas.

The sun, sand and sea

Marina Sol Premier Properties enjoy prime beachfront on the best beach in all of Los Cabos - Playa Medano. Medano Beach takes on a different personality throughout the day. It's quiet in the morning when the waters of the Sea of Cortez are glassy. It radiates playful energy in the afternoon from the beach combers and procession of boats, and shimmers under the moonlight in the evening. If you want a change of scenery, hop aboard a panga and taxi over to Lover's Beach at the southernmost tip of the cape. You'll have the rare opportunity to take a dip in two bodies of water - the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez - at the same beach.

The sport-fishing capital of the world

For some, there is one overriding reason to frequent Los Cabos, and it starts at the Cabo San Lucas Marina...Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Roosterfish and Amberjack. It's simply one of the most famous sport-fishing spots on earth. Here, where the Sea of Cortez meets the mighty Pacific Ocean, a nutrient-rich environment exists that supports more than 650 species of marine life. At the Marina, you can book anything from a yacht, perfect for the pursuit of Marlin, to a panga - just what you need to hook smaller species like Dorado. In order to conserve precious resources, catch-and-release is gaining big support in the Los Cabo region.
